PATRICK has turned performance ratings at Port Botany around in the last month, says Asciano.

Since the inception of the Patrick Port Botany working group, the terminal has exceeded a number of its key operating measures.

According to Asciano, during the week commencing November 9, Port Botany handled 6,606 truck with truck turn around times averaging under 37 minutes. The terminal achieved a 40% improvement compared to the period last year.

Asciano claims dwell times at the terminal has also reduced with the average Sunday truck slot utilisation increasing by over 20% which is a 90% improvement compared to last year.

“Improved processes and working practices combined with a greater push to 24/7 operations has produced significant operating efficiencies and higher levels of customer service for all port users,” Patrick Container Ports divisional general manager, Paul Garaty says.
