Final preparations underway for Freight Week 2009

ORGANISERS have announced that final preparations are taking place for Freight Week 2009.

Freight Week will be held at the Melbourne Tennis Centre on 7 September 2009.

Each day of Freight Week 2009 focuses on a unique theme, with information on technology, ports, safety, the future and the environment.

Organisers announce Freight Environment Day on Wednesday, 9 September 2009 is an ideal opportunity for delegates to find out what they need to know about environmental issues, including environmental regulations, the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting obligations (NGER) and the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme (CPRS).

The program also includes an owners' panel, which will discus sustainability issues and how they work within the logistics sector.

Tickets are $250 per day.
