THE Australian Trucking Association (ATA) says the new venue and new approach at the 2009 Technical and Maintenance Conference has proven to be a success.

Over 250 delegates attended the Conference which heard industry leaders such as such as Fonterra, Bizitecniks and TEAM speak about the experiences they had with PBS certification and compliance.

V8 Supercar driver Steve Richards also spoke about how leading fuel companies and manufacturers are reacting to the increase in demand for alternative fuels, as well as companies such as Kalari who are moving to wider use of alternative fuel sources.

Other issues that were covered at the event include safety and efficiency, developments in the industry, key basic maintenance knowledge and technology to improve trucking for the future.
